Eligibility to Work On Campus

In order to work on campus, all students must demonstrate that they are eligible to work in the United States. 

Students must complete the following forms before starting to work:

  • Request for Hire/Work Authorization Form (RWAF)
  • I-9 Form
  • W-4 Form
  • Direct Deposit Form


First-time student employees: If this will be your first job on campus, you must bring the completed, signed Request for Hire/Work Authorization Form (RWAF) and acceptable IDs for verifying eligibility to work in the U.S. to Student Financial Services within three (3) days of hire. A list of acceptable ID documents can be viewed on the Student Employment Web site at:

Non U. S. citizens: Non U. S. citizens must acquire a social security card before you are eligible to work on campus. You may receive assistance regarding social security numbers from the Global Education Center. If this will be your first job on campus, you must do the following:


• Apply for and accept a job offer on campus.
• Complete the “Employment Verification Form (EVF)” with your supervisor (Supervisors have access to this form.).
• Bring EVF to the Global Education Center and to the Social Security Office to apply for a social security card.
• Upon receipt of Social Security Card, complete the Request for Hire/Work Authorization Form (RWAF) with your supervisor.
• Bring the following to SFS within three(3) days of completing the RWAF: Soc. Security Card, RWAF, your unexpired passport with Form I-94 and your I-20 Form.
• Complete I9/W4 forms in Student Financial Services.
• Set up Direct Deposit at the College Payroll Office in Park Hall.
• SFS will process the RWAF and enter you on the payroll system.
• You may begin to work after you are on the system.
