Getting Paid FAQs
Once I find a job, which forms do I need to fill out in order to get paid?
You will have to complete the I-9, W-4, Direct Deposit forms, and the Request for Hire/Work Authorization Form (RWAF). Each Wheaton student performing work on campus must complete the Student Employment Request for Hire/Work Authorization Form for each job s/he holds. The RWAF ensures that the student will be paid for hours worked. It should therefore, be submitted to SFS before the student begins to work. These forms are available at Student Financial Services.
How do we get paid?
After submitting your timesheets on your Inside Wheaton account, the Payroll Office will process the information and your paycheck will be deposited biweekly into the account(s) you specified on your direct deposit form.
How do I submit my time sheet?
After students submit their Request for Hire/Work Authorization Forms and the other necessary forms, they will be added as employees on their Inside Wheaton accounts. This will give students the opportunity to submit their hours to their supervisors for approval. Time sheets are due bi-weekly by 2pm on Friday. Instructions for submitting hours can be viewed on the student employment website.
What happens if my work-study funds run out before the end of the academic year?
You are responsible for managing your work awards appropriately. If your work-study funds run out, you must stop working on campus. You may request an appointment at SFS to see if you are eligible for an increase in your work award.
