Microbiology Uncorked

Fall 2004

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. Students in Professor of Biology Betsey Dyer's seminar "Microbiology and Chemistry of Wine" explored the science behind viticulture through scholarly activities as well as more direct investigation—tasting! For their final tasting assignment, Dyer's students selected and reviewed wines fit for the leanest of student budgets. Read on to see a few of their picks; and learn more about the seminar here (pdf file).
