Wheaton's Organization for Women (WOW) sponsored a bake sale on Friday, October 13, to promote breast cancer awareness and raise funds for the American Cancer Society (ACS). Students and staff, clad in pink, participated in a walk around campus that afternoon (pictured below). On the following Sunday, several WOW members took part in the Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk in Boston to benefit the ACS.
The group's efforts raised $370 for Making Strides. "We were thrilled about the amount," said Corinna McFarland '08.
