Treasures of Berlin art tour
Nancy Hirschland Ramage '63 and her brother Edward C. Hirschland will lead a Wheaton art tour of the unknown treasures of Berlin for nine days in October. The two have organized and led art and architecture tours for many years, carrying on a tradition started five decades ago by their mother, Ellen Berney Hirschland '40.
While the tour is now fully booked, interested persons can have their names added to the waiting list. Please call Ed Hirschland at (312)201-1111, or e-mail hirschland@aol.com.
Berlin has again become one of the great centers of modern Europe. Having recovered from the division of the city into East and West, and with billions poured into it by both Germany and the European Union, it is now a thriving city and a gem filled with art and architecture.

Ramage is the Charles A. Dana professor emerita of the humanities and arts at Ithaca College, where she received the excellence in teaching award. She lectures frequently at universities and museums worldwide and once delivered the Shippee Lecture at Wheaton.
Hirschland, who has studied in Germany, is a management consultant and president of The Landhart Corporation in Chicago. A former trustee of the Society of Architectural Historians, Hirschland has also worked closely with the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
