New provost announced
Wheaton has selected Molly Easo Smith, an English literature scholar and academic dean at Seton Hall University, as the college's next provost. (More)
Grants for faculty research
Two professors in Wheaton's Art and Art History Department have won Marion and Jasper Whiting Foundation fellowships for off-campus study, while the college was awarded a $200,000 Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant to promote faculty research. (More)

Wheaton opened its campus to friends and neighbors on April 30 for Community Day, a family festival that is becoming a favorite spring tradition. (View photographs)
Dale's dispatches
Former Wheaton president Dale Rogers Marshall is spending the semester in the Russian Republic of Kalmykia as a Fulbright scholar, teaching American history, government and culture to college students. Dale is in Kalmykia with her husband Don, who is also teaching at the university. In nine letters to the Wheaton community, Dale shares her reflections on this amazing experience. ATHLETICS
Dual tournament action
The Wheaton baseball team, ranked first in New England, closed out its regular season with a stellar 34-8 record; the team heads to the NCAA Tournament on May 17. Meanwhile, the men's lacrosse team will play in the championship game of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Tournament for the first time on Saturday, May 13.
