Will at Wheaton: Shakespeare in the Theatre, in the Classroom and in our Daily Lives
In support of the Ruby Lecture Series, featuring Stephen Greenblatt, renowned scholar of Renaissance literature and author of Will in the World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare in the Holman Room, Mary Lyon on Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30pm, Wallace Library will mount an exhibit featuring the history of Shakespeare at Wheaton from March 27 to April 26, 2007. The exhibit will include production photos, programs, costumes, notated scripts, reviews of productions, honors theses and faculty publications on a Shakespearean or Elizabethan topic, and other interesting reflections of the impact and interaction of Shakespeare on and with Wheaton academic and social life. The exhibit will also include material emphasizing the often unrecognized influence of Shakespeare on everyday life, including an interactive examination of some Shakespearean quotes that may not be readily recognized as Shakespearean.
