Trio corrals weekly men's tennis honors from NEWMACMarch 31, 2008 NORTON, MA- Wheaton College men's tennis standout Kyle Hudgins (Uxbridge, MA/Uxbridge) was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Singles Player of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, March 30, while James Little (Mount Desert, ME/Mount Desert Island) and Greg Poulin (Boxboro, MA/Home Schooled) corralled the league's doubles team-of-the-week honor. Hudgins, a sophomore, drew his second career weekly award from the NEWMAC, having also drawn a singles accolade on March 17. Little, also a sophomore, and Poulin, a freshman, earned the initial weekly conference laurels of their respective careers.
Wheaton, which is 6-2 overall, 1-0 in the NEWMAC and ranked 18th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Northeast poll, returns to action on Saturday when it hosts league foe United States Coast Guard Academy at 1:00 p.m. This page is maintained by Scott Dietz. Last updated on 4/21/08. |
