Lyons down host Swarthmore, 3-2 during Seven Sisters TournamentSeptember 16, 2006 SWARTHMORE, PA- The Wheaton College field hockey team came from behind to knock off host Swarthmore College, 3-2 during the first round of the Seven Sisters Tournament on Saturday. The Lyons snapped their two-game losing streak and are 5-2, while the Garnet suffered its first loss and is 3-1. Swarthmore broke on top quickly, as senior Summer Spicer (Laurel, DE/Laurel) scored off a penalty corner 54 seconds in, but Wheaton junior Sara Dimick (Cumberland, ME/Greely) countered with her team-leading seventh goal of the season off sophomore Alisa Ardito's (Branford, CT/Branford) penalty corner feed just 2:11 before halftime. Senior Mary Catherine Boll (Columbus, IN/Miss Porter's School) and Wheaton's defensive unit combined to limit an offense averaging nearly five goals per game, one which had netted 11 markers in its previous contest.
