Dimick, Rowland earn regional field hockey accolades

November 22, 2005

NORTON, MA- Wheaton College senior midfielder Elizabeth Rowland (Holliston, MA/Holliston) and sophomore midfielder Sara Dimick (Cumberland, ME/Greely) have been named by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) to the Dartfish/NFHCA Division III All-New England East Region second team.

Rowland earned all-region honors for the third straight season after being named to the first team as a sophomore and junior. Wheaton's co-captain and central midfielder, Rowland started 19 games while setting a career high with 17 points and matching the personal best of seven tallies set her freshman season. Dimick recorded two goals, three assists and one game-winner in 20 starts for the Lyons.

Rowland and Dimick were named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference second team this fall, as the duo helped Wheaton record an 8-12 overall mark.
