Wheaton set to run live basketball statistics on Saturday, NEWMAC contest with Coast Guard also slated for webcast

NORTON, MA- Live statistics will be available via the Internet for the Wheaton College men's basketball game tomorrow, as the service will continue through the completion of Wheaton's home schedules for both the men and women. Tomorrow's contest against the United States Coast Guard Academy will also be webcast.

Live statistics for the Coast Guard game, as well as each of the school's remaining nine men's and women's regular season home outings and any postseason action at Emerson Gymnasium, can be accessed via www.wheatonma.edu/athletics/live. The live audio broadcast can be heard on www.sportsjuice.com, with Mark Simon providing color and play-by-play for the 2:00 p.m. tip.

Wheaton's men, who are 8-7 overall and 1-4 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), have gone 3-1 at home, where they average 82.0 points, as opposed to 70.0 points on the road. Coast Guard, which is 10-6 and 1-3, has the league's best scoring defense and rebounding average and has made the most three-pointers.

Lyon senior Brian Zukowski (Dracut, MA/Dracut), the program's fifth-leading all-time scorer (1,253), paces Wheaton in scoring average (17.0), assists (69) and steals (29), and is second in rebounding average (4.9) and free throw shooting (85.1%). Juniors Eric Johnston (South Windsor, CT/East Catholic) and Brent DiGiovanna (Hanover, MA/Hanover) also each average double-figure point totals, with 13.1 and 11.5, respectively.
