Content Policies and Suggestions

All class notes columns should include the class year, followed by your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address (if applicable) as shown below:

If there is more than one secretary, both names and addresses should be listed. Please also let us know which of you is submitting the column. This information is for our use only and will be useful in case there are any follow-up questions that need to be answered.

Engagement, Wedding and Birth Announcements

Please note that we do not print engagement or pregnancy announcements pertaining to either Wheaton alumnae/i or their family members. Wedding and family photos will be published as space allows and at the discretion of the editor. Typically we do not include baby photos unless there are Wheaton alumnae/i in the photo. However, these news items are great features for your class website.

Reporting Deaths

Please note deaths of alumnae/i or their immediate family members separately for inclusion in the "In Memoriam" section that follows the class notes.

Along with the person's name, include the date of his/her death and, if available, a copy of a printed obituary. If the deceased is a relative, please indicate the relationship to your classmate.

Condolences may be mentioned in the body of your notes if the death has been verified with a printed obituary. Deaths have been misreported in the past, generating understandable dismay for the alumna/us and family members involved. If you learn of a death via second-or third-hand reports, please contact the Communications Office at (508) 286-8235 and we will try to verify the report for you.
