The submission of standardized test results is optional. Applicants who wish not to have their scores considered must check the box in the Optional Standardized Testing Information section of the Supplement to the Common Application. Those students wishing their scores to be considered must arrange to have official score reports sent directly from the testing agency to the Office of Admission at Wheaton College. The ETS code (College Board/SAT) for sending your scores to Wheaton is 3963; the ACT code number is 1932.

Score reports for submitters must be received no later than the application deadline. Students applying for Early Decision I or II who wish to include their test scores in their applications should plan to complete testing no later than October of the senior year.

Personal Academic Portfolio

Students may wish to submit additional material with their applications in the form of a Personal Academic Portfolio, which may provide evidence of particular talents or interests. Portfolios must be clearly labeled with your name and date of birth. Examples may include creative writing, summaries of academic or volunteer service projects and/or audio or video tapes of work in music or theatre.

Studio art faculty will review CDs, slides and print portfolios. Please note that candidates wishing to have their portfolios reviewed by faculty must clearly label their submission (e.g.,"art portfolio," "music portfolio," "theatre portfolio," or "writing portfolio." Personal portfolios will not be returned. Students are discouraged from submitting originals.

Note: In order to secure a faculty review, portfolio submissions are due on or before January 15, 2008.

Educational Assessments/Diagnostic Testing

Students with specific learning disabilities or learning style differences may submit copies of any recent professional assessments or documentation with their application to Wheaton. Submission of documentation is voluntary and all materials are kept confidential. Students planning to submit testing should note that testing should be no more than three years old. It is recommended that you pursue testing while in high school. Many times this can be done as a service by your public school system. For more information and/or to obtain guidelines for documentation please write or call the Office of Academic Advising at Wheaton.
