Thefts on Campus

In the past several weeks, three vehicles on campus have been broken into. The Public Safety Department is investigating these thefts; and if you have any information regarding them, please report that information to Public Safety. While you may believe your information is insignificant, it may be valuable to the investigation, so I urge you to contact us.

In order to keep your valuables as safe as possible, follow the safety tips indicated below:

Report Suspicious People in the Parking Lots
Be aware of the people who are in the campus parking lots, and call Public Safety to report anyone you see that seems suspicious. An officer will respond to stop and identify the person and to find out what s/he is doing there.

Secure Your Valuable Items and Cash
While it makes it less convenient to use or get quickly, lock down your valuable equipment like computers (including laptops), TV™≠s, stereos, and the like. Lock your cash, especially large amounts of cash, in a safe place. Keep serial numbers and information on all your valuable equipment so you™≠ll have it handy in case it is damaged or stolen. Don™≠t secure your valuables in your car!
