Attempted Purse Snatch
In the past month one purse has been stolen from an office as well as another attempted theft on Friday, November 21, 2003. In the second incident the owner of the purse noticed a male subject with the purse in his hands. When confronted, he threw the purse and ran from the building with a female accomplice.
He is described as a white male in his 30's, with a slight build approximately 150 lbs, he has dark hair and dark skin. The accomplice is described as a white feamle in her 30's, approximately 165 lbs, with long hair worn in a ponytail.
The two fled the campus on foot to the Kilham Circle where they got into a Black 4x4 (Bronco or Blazer), unknown plates and fled down Howard Street and off campus.
The Norton Police and Public Safety Department are investigating these thefts;and if you have any information regarding them, please report that information to Public Safety. While you may believe your information is insignificant, it may be valuable to the investigation, so I urge you contact us.
