Bill Goldbloom Bloch

After a two-year postdoctoral appointment at the University of Texas at Austin, Bill Goldbloom Bloch came to Wheaton in 1995 as an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. During his progression to Professor (and now Associate Provost), he published a prime number of articles in the fields of dynamical systems and topology. Moreover, as an outgrowth of the Connections program, Wheaton's revolutionary way of addressing the interdisciplinary nature of knowledge, he published an article on the work of noted South American writer Jorge Luis Borges in a prestigious literary journal. The book, published by Oxford University Press, will appear in early 2008.
Hyun Kim

Hyun Kim joined the Sociology Department at Wheaton in the Fall 1992. She is currently Associate Provost and Professor of Sociology. She writes and teaches courses concerning global inequality and knowledge as a means to human freedom. She is particularly interested in developing innovative paths towards liberal arts education for the globalized 21st century.
Lynda Marcoccia
Senior Executive Assistant to the Provost and Secretary to the Faculty

At Wheaton since 1974, Lynda has provided support to five provosts and three interim provosts. She serves as the Provost's Office liaison with the Human Resources Office, the Finance Office, the Grants Office and Institutional Research, and is responsible for the integrity of faculty information for payroll and survey data. Reporting to Lynda are a staff of six faculty assistants who provide clerical support to the faculty. As secretary to the faculty, she is responsible for keeping an accurate record of the proceedings at faculty meetings, and for faculty legislation and the faculty handbook. Lynda works very closely with several standing committees of the faculty.
Susan Colson
Executive Assistant to the Provost for Special Projects

After 25 years in the President's office working closely with three presidents, Susan recently joined the Provost's Staff as Executive Assistant to the Provost for Special Projects. Susan is responsible for supporting the Provost in coordinating several major projects that are critical to the goals set forth in the College's new strategic plan, including the building of the new Center for Scientific Inquiry and Innovation, reaccreditation, and Provost's fund raising travel. Susan also serves as the Provost's liaison to the Board of Trustees. Susan received an A.B. from Wheaton College in 1996.
Bernice Morrissey

Bernice has worked at Wheaton since 1997. She manages the daily operations of the Associate Provosts' office; she also oversees budgets and coordinates events and workshops for the Associate Provosts' Office, the Kollett Center and the First-Year Seminar (FYS) program. Among other duties, Bernice also oversees production of the FYS brochure and administers the FYS course evaluations.
Ann Daley

A member of the Provost's Office since 1984, Ann is responsible for the provost's calendar, faculty luncheon presentations, honors convocation, arranging meetings with various departments of the college, preparing materials for the Tenure Committee and the Educational Policy Committee, and a range of other duties.
