![]() Outdoor science activities were a huge draw. Here, psychology professor Meg Kirkpatrick helps a curious visitor discover the wonders of the brain. The kids got to compare animal and human brains and make brain models from play-doh. |
![]() Children grabbed at the chance to hold live sea urchins, presented by biology professor Bob Morris. Other exhibits featured exotic animals, rocks, chemistry "black magic" and a sunscope for looking at the sun. |
![]() Costumed "mathemagicians" demonstrated how much fun it is to be a math wiz(ard), and math professor Bill Goldbloom Bloch had children try their hands at folding a piece of paper seven times. "Watching kids try to understand a basic principle of math or science, suddenly grasp it, and light up is surely the most rewarding thing about being in the education business," Goldbloom Bloch declared. |
