A Day in the Life of the Kollett Center
On any given day you may see a range of activities taking place in the Kollett Center:
- a morning Intro to Physics class working in problem-solving teams
- a German class video-conferencing with students at other liberal arts colleges as they watch a German theater's live rehearsal of the play they are all reading
- a foreign language tutor working individually with a student at one table, while a statistics tutor works with 15 students grouped at tables according to the problems they are working through, while an economics tutor reviews problem sets with six students working at whiteboards
- students re-arranging the configuration of the room to organize and facilitate group work for a class project or student organization
- a students participating in a workshop on oral communication and public presentation
- faculty members actively participating in a Teaching and Learning workshop
- a group of students working on a class presentation
- a late-evening study group drinking coffee and preparing for a mid-term
