College Owned Windows Computers Have Gone GREEN!
LIS has taken steps to save money, energy and the environment by installing energy-saving software on your computer.Depending on how PC energy conscientious you are, you may notice changes in your PCs behavior. This software will monitor your computer for inactivity and will put it in a low power state in the evening if you forget to shut it off at the end of your work day. This software will take effect starting in March of 2008.
| 1. | These changes do not impact your PCs performance while it is in use |
| 2. | It will not keep you from using your PC before or after normal work hours |
| 3. | You can power your PC on whenever you need to use it whether that be on nights, early mornings, or weekends |
| 4. | Your PC will not be shutting down during the day |
