Downloading Operating System and Virus Patches

It is extremely important that you keep your personal computer up to date with the latest operating system and anti-virus patches. Before registering your computer on the Wheaton College network, please follow the links below to protect your computer (and our network) against the latest threats on the Internet, the Microsoft RPC vulnerabilities in Windows and the Sobig.f mass-mailing worm virus. (Start with the Stinger virus detection/removal tool.) After you have registered your machine, please take the time to run the system updating software that pertains to your operating system.

If you have McAfee's VirusScan software or Enterprise 7 anti-virus software you can use the executable below to bring your system up to Engine 4.2.60 with Virus DATS 4322.
