Confirmation Deposit Policy for Study Abroad Participation
Effective Academic Year 2007-2008, all students accepted to study abroad in Wheaton programs for Fall 2007 and beyond will be assessed a $500 non-refundable confirmation deposit. This fee must be paid at the time of final confirmation of study abroad participation. Once enrolled, this deposit will apply to Wheaton program fees associated with the study abroad program for the semester in question.
For students who elect to withdraw from a study abroad program AFTER final confirmation has been given to the Center for Global Education but BEFORE the commencement of the study abroad program, this fee, like unrecoverable costs such as airfare and program deposits, is non-refundable. This fee is assessed on a per-program basis and as such, students who enroll in two consecutive but different study abroad programs will be assessed a confirmation deposit fee of $1,000.
Students with any questions or concerns regarding this new policy should contact a staff member in the Center for Global Education at globaled@wheatonma.edu or at x4950.
