SUMMER JOBS

At the Filene Center, you can take advantage of individual advising sessions and hundreds of employer postings to help you search for both summer jobs and off-campus employment during the academic year.
Summer Jobs
Whether you are looking for a job in Portland, Maine, on Cape Cod or at one of the many state parks throughout the country, we can help you in a multitude of ways. You can schedule a personal advising meeting in which we can help you explore your possibilities, attend one of our many targeted workshops, or drop in and peruse our ever growing library of location-specific job binders. Like sports? How about a job with the Cape Cod Baseball League writing press releases? Or work as a tour guide at one of the world famous Newport mansions. Want to be in the city working in the business world? Take a position with one of Boston's many publishing houses.
If housing is an issue, make use of our new Summer Housing Bulletin Board. We maintain up to date postings of available rooming options.
Several external websites also list various types of summer jobs.
Part-Time Jobs
Need some extra cash? Employers from Providence to Boston post part-time employment opportunities with the Filene Center on a daily basis. We list over 50 local childcare jobs, post positions for law and medical offices, and have applications for almost every restaurant within 20 miles! Data entry, retail, teaching, painting, web design, furniture moving, gymnastics, golf, elder care, lab assistant - if you want a job, we'll help you find one!
You can benefit from working off-campus by earning money to help pay for your education, connecting your academic work with employment experiences and obtaining valuable professional skills.
So - get to work!
