EXPERIENTIAL TEACHING & LEARNING

At Wheaton, experiential teaching and learning enrich, complement and complete a traditional liberal arts education. Course-related field activities, labs, research projects, internships, practica and service learning projects provide faculty and students with discipline-based opportunities for reflection and critical thinking.

The Filene Center for Work & Learning, the Educational Policy Experiential Committee, and the Kollett Center for Collaborative Learning collaborate to provide expertise, resources, and funding for faculty interested in integrating experiential teaching and learning into departmental offerings. The links listed below and to the left offer further information about each of these forms of support.
