Main Interests

Connie says, "I am available for conferences with students about any writing concerns or projects, including long papers, personal statements or the development of writing strategies. My objective is to listen actively with the understanding that writing is communication; therefore, all writing has an audience. As students and I work together on their writing, I become their audience."

Research Interests

Learning Differences, Tutoring, Composition, Adademic Journal Writing, and Perception vs Memory.

Teaching Interests

Compostion, Basic Writing, Students with Learning Differences, Honors Thesis Students

Other Interests

Writing memoir, poetry and essays. Films, hiking and reading.

Student Projects

Working with students with Learning Differences, Honors Thesis students, and students writing their senior thesis.

Selected Publications, Creative Work or Performances

Poetry published in various small presses including, Issues, Brown Journal of the Arts, Clerestory, Dogwood, Three Rivers Poetry Journal and RI Women Speak.
Also, in The Writing Lab Newsletter, (Jan./Feb. 2004) "Switching Identies: Defining the Student/Tutor and Faculty/Tutor Position and Persona."
