320. Race, Gender and Poverty

Students will explore the causes and consequences of poverty in the United States and globally with a particular focus on the complex interplay of race, gender and social class. The class will examine the economic, historic and political structures that shape contemporary inequality and analyze public policies designed to alleviate poverty.
