Spring Break

This was the first spring break that I actually went somewhere besides home in New Hampshire. It was quite a planning process and we actually didn't make the final decision until the night before we left.
So, my boyfriend, his cousin and I drove down to Florida last Friday. It took about 21 hours and we drove all the way through, switching every couple hours. This was the longest road trip I've ever been on. We stayed in Orlando because they have so many hotels around that area, that they had competitive prices. We stayed right within walkable distance off everything too.
One day, we went to Universal Studios & Island of Adventures. The tickets are usually 82 bucks, but we got them for $30 because we went to a timeshare presentation beforehand, random I know.
The next few days we spent at the beaches and relaxed a lot. We also went to a few of our friends' baseball games that were playing down there. The ride home was complicated because while it was 85 degrees down there, there was a huge snowstorm up at home. We had to stall until the storm was over so that we wouldn't drive straight into it. It was quite depressing driving north and watching the thermometer drop every state we drove through. I was still wearing a skirt when we got into Maryland and there was snow on the ground....I just can't wait for spring in New England.....

Nothing Much

Last Monday we had a senior dinner with some invited alumni. Tuesday, I worked all day at my internship. Wednesday, I had my weekly presentation in my senior seminar and then that night I went to some student plays. Last week there were senior plays every night. Students in Advanced Playwriting all wrote a 45 minute play that was acted and directed by other students. It was cool because it was kind of a reciprocity thing, if you directed someone's play, you'd let them act in yours, or something like that. I had a couple friends that were involved so it was nice to see their hardwork pay off. Thursday, I worked a half day again and then went to some more plays. It torrentially down poured here on Friday and the Dimple was a lake.

Saturday night, a few friends and I went down to Providence to Dave & Busters. It's in the Providence Place Mall and I like to describe it as Chucky Cheese for adults. It's basically a bar with arcade games. My absolute favorite game is this Trivia game that I am so addicted to. You play against 5 other people and you just win an incredible amount of tickets. We pooled our tickets and ended up with a ton, but they didn't have the cups that we wanted, so we are saving them for next time. It's really convenient to get down there and it's less than a half hour drive.

Sunday, my roommate and I drove up in to Boston and went to the Wang Theater to see the Boston Ballet. Oh my goodness, it was incredible. Her family goes all the time and we had front row seats. We could see the sweat coming off the dancers and we could hear them breathing. It wasn't too close though, because the orchestra pit was in front of us. AMAZING experience. I mean the place is all gold and sparkly and we were dressed up nice, wow just wow.

Spring break is next week!
