Wheaton sends three women high jumpers to prestigious Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA- The Wheaton College women's outdoor track and field team sent three of its high jumpers to the 111th running of the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Thursday.

Sophomore Jennifer Harlow (East Bridgewater, MA/East Bridgewater) placed seventh overall in the Division-I dominated event with a NCAA Division III national meet provisional qualifying height of 5' 4 1/2", while classmate Crystal Blamy (Walpole, NH/Fall Mountain Regional) took eighth also at 5' 4 1/2".

Senior captain Kathrine Wallace (Glenmoore, PA/The Hill School) was Wheaton's third competitor in the high jump, as she recorded a no height in the event.

The trio will next travel to Worcester, where they hope to lead the Lyons to a seventh straight New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship. The men's and women's conference meets will be held on Saturday, April 30 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) Alumni Field.
