James collects ECAC Track Athlete of the Week for third time this yearApril 6, 2004 NORTON, MA- Wheaton College women's track and field standout Amber James (Woodbury, MN/Woodbury) collected her third Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Track Athlete-of-the-Week honor of the year, this time for the week ending on Sunday, April 4. James led Wheaton with a trio of NCAA Division III national meet provisional qualifying times at the Sam Howell Invitational held at Princeton University's Weaver Stadium this weekend, leading the Lyons in their outdoor opener in the non-scoring meet. She captured individual championships in the 100- and 200-meter dash events with times of 12.29 and 24.84, respectively, and also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team that finished third overall in 48.95. James and the Lyons will be back in action this weekend at the Columbia University Invitational held in New York City. Last updated on 4/9/04. |
