Wheaton throwers compete at Husky Spring Open

DEDHAM, MA- The Wheaton College men's and women's track & field teams sent their throwers to the 2002 Husky Spring Open Saturday afternoon at Northeastern University's Solomon Track.
Senior Nash Oven (Framingham, MA) represented the men in the javelin, as he placed 11th overall of the 36 competitors with a throwing distance of 159' 1".
On the women's side, the Lyons had two athletes in the javelin, including senior Megan Flaherty (Mattapoisett, MA) and sophomore Lia Langeveld (Lanesboro, MA). Flaherty finished 14th overall with a distance of 90' 7", while Langeveld placed 25th.
