Lyons garner five All-America performances at NCAA Championship

BLOOMINGTON, IL- The Wheaton College women's indoor track and field team sent five of its student-athletes to this weekend's NCAA Division III Championship at Illinois Wesleyan University and the Lyons will return to the Norton campus with all five garnering All-America performances.

Sophomore Jennifer Harlow (East Bridgewater, MA/East Bridgewater) led Wheaton in the high jump, tying for fifth with a height of 5' 3 1/4". Senior captain Kathrine Wallace (Glenmoore, PA/The Hill School) also cleared 5' 3 1/4" to finish 12th overall.

Wallace then anchored Wheaton's 4x400-meter relay team in this evening's final event, joining senior captain Jessica Allegra (East Hampton, CT/East Hampton) and first-year athletes Julie McLane (New Canaan, CT/New Canaan) and Chelsea Nader (Ardmore, PA/Lower Menan) to finish eighth in 3:59.24.

The Lyons totaled 4.5 points and placed 39th overall among the 60 scoring teams.

Wheaton will open its outdoor season next weekend at the Long Beach State Classic at Long Beach State University.
