Class of 1968

Next Special Event....60th Birthday Bash in 2006

Welcome... Class of 1968 to our Web Page.

Special Announcements

Our class gift supports Wheaton through the Annual Fund. This year's Annual Fund goal is $3.3 million. The Annul Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating students. While endowed funds are invested to ensure the College's future strength, the Annual Fund acts as a "living endowment" allowing 100% of your gift to be spent immediately on the College's most important priorities.

Our Annual Fund gifts are vitally important in supporting a wide variety of programs and educational experiences for our students and maintaining a select student body and committed faculty.

Gifts of every amount to the Annual Fund are important--no matter the size--our collective giving and participation counts. For those who can consider it, one way to set a goal for personal annual giving is to join the Mary Lyon Society.

Reunion 2003 Wrap-Up

The final numbers are in!!!
The Class of 1968 raised a total of $116,826 for the Annual Fund...a 35th reunion record...from 150 donors....also another record for which we received a trophy. FYI... our Reunion Donor Award for the highest number of donors is located in Mary Lyon in the hallway.

As a point of reference, during our 25th Reunion year our class raised $94,000 with 45% participation. Last year we raised $89,445 with 129 donors.

Thank you all for your generosity and support of Wheaton. The Class of '68 "ROCKS!"

Class of '68 35th Reunion

When I drove onto the campus for our 35th, I had trouble believing that it had been 35 years since we had left Norton as newly graduated degree holders. Or that it had been almost 39 years since we arrived on the campus as eager freshman. Wheaton is different and yet it is the same...and that seemed to be true of us as well. Of course, we are older and have seen a lot more of life than we had seen in June of 1968...a date that sounds like something from a history book to the current students! And we are different...but underneath we are still the same. We still ask more questions than other classes, and we share a special bond because we all came of age during the same time. We have shared the changes in our lives over the past 35 years, but still when we are together, we can remember ourselves and our old friends at 22.

So, in May, we came back to Wheaton...and we talked, and talked, about our days at Wheaton and our lives since then...and the future and who we were and who we have become... and who we want to be next.

It's hard to imagine that those kids who graduated in 1968 are now talking about a 60 year old birthday party bash. But we always knew how to celebrate...and still do...and now, we have even more to celebrate. We know a lot more about what is really important to our lives...and we certainly still love to stay up late at night and solve the world's problems!
