June - AugustAsk amounts determined by staff and reviewed with Reunion Gift Chair (RGC)
August - Sept.RGC recruits gift committee and notifies staff contact of newly-recruited gift committee members to be invited to ALC
Early SeptemberStaff drafts initial class appeal letter based on overall messages.
RGC provides staff contact with signature
Early OctoberClass appeal letters mailed
Sept. 30 - Oct. 15RGC and committee members have made own commitment (gift or pledge)
Oct. 19 - 20Alumnae/i Leadership Conference (ALC) & Homecoming at Wheaton
Oct./Nov.Committee members and student callers follow-through with assigned solicitations, following up on RGC letter
Gift Chair checks in with gift committee members to review progress
NovemberTax year-end mailing (college mailing)
JanuaryStaff reviews gifts and solicitations. Re-rate and re-assign if necessary.
Staff drafts Reunion Gift Update memo and gets RGC approval/edits
February (wk. 1)Reunion Gift Update memo mailed
MarchStaff drafts letter for April solicitation mailing and gets RGC approval/edits
Mid AprilThird reunion solicitation mailed
May 16 -18Reunion Weekend! Reunion Gift Update put in registration packets. Reunion Giving Tent set up outside Mary Lyon Hall. Solicitation at Reunion may occur (especially fruitful if the goal or a record seems attainable)
JuneFollow-up with outstanding pledges and lybunts
July/AugustRGC and/or class president writes thank you letter to the class with final results
