7:30 p.m.Southeastern Massachusetts Wind Symphony.  Music Director and Conductor Earl Raney leads the ensemble in a performance of compositions by Holst, Arnold and Grainger, along with seasonal favorites.  Weber Theatre, Watson Fine Arts.  Tickets may be obtained at the door—$5 general, $4 students/seniors, $10 families of four or more.

7:30 p.m.Jazz Band Concert.  Under the direction of Rick Britto, the ensemble performs the music of famed jazz trumpeter Miles Davis from his legendary recording Kind of Blue.  Kresge Experimental Theatre, Watson Fine Arts.

7:30 p.m.Boston Providence Connection: Urban Nutcracker.  Following the story of E.T.A. Hoffman's 19th century fairy tale but setting it in contemporary Boston, Urban Nutcracker fuses ballet, swing, hip hop, and urban tap with the classical score of Tchaikovsky and the pulsating beat of Duke Ellington.  John Hancock Hall, Boston.  Tickets: $10, 1 per person.
